Every piece starts as a detail you'd usually walk past
Lichen on a wall, split rock, wet bark, the line a tide leaves behind. Many of wevra's textures come from the West Country – coastal cliffs, the paths around the Avon Gorge, damp stone and moss.
They're photographed on walks and climbing days, then cropped, collaged and simplified in the studio until they feel calm enough to live with every day.
